The Blue Room

The Blue Room

The spacious Blue Room has a double bed, a double sofa-bed and a single folding bed, so can sleep a family of up to five (we do not normally recommend the folding beds for adults for longer stays). The room has a TV and video, a Nintendo games console with a wide choice of games, hairdryer, tea and coffee tray, and en-suite bathroom.
The Apricot Room

The Apricot Room

The Apricot Room has two single beds. It has a spacious en-suite bathroom with corner bath, an ante-room with clothes hanging area, and TV with video (and free hire of video films), an electric trouser press, hairdryer and a tea and coffee tray. The collection of John le Carre books includes "A Murder of Quality", set in Sherborne where le Carre was at school.
The Apricot Room can (on advance request, for longer stays) be made up as a king-size double room rather than as a twin.
The Peach Room

The Peach Room

The Peach Room has a double bed. It has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, a TV with video (and free hire of video films), hairdryer and a tea and coffee tray.
(Historic footnote: this room was once part of the Council Chamber where Sherborne's Mayor and Town Council sat when the building was the town hall, between 1937 and 1978.)
Celebrate with a glass of champagne
Enjoy a bottle of champagne in comfort

Celebrating - or don't you need an excuse? We are happy to serve champagne, wine or other drinks in the guests' drawing room, the bar or in your room - just ask. We have a range of fine wines available at excellent prices.

Disabled Access

The Pheasants is a three-storey townhouse and subject to Listed Building regulations, and our bedrooms are on the first and second floors, so we regret that it has not been possible to alter the fabric of the building to make our rooms easily accessible for the physically disabled. To accommodate the hard of hearing, we have installed fire alarm sirens in every guest bedroom. We are of course keep to assist all our guests in any way we can, so do call us to discuss any special needs you may have, and we will do our best to help.

We have an Access Statement
('Word' file, 36kb, 4 pages)

To download our Access Statement, simply right-click on the blue document name above, select "save target as", and save the document to an appropriate place on your computer (usually "my documents"); you can then view it and/or print it at your convenience.

Fire Safety

For your safety and peace of mind, The Pheasants has a fire detection and alarm system throughout the entire building, and Fire Authority-approved fire precautions. Read more...
